This workshop will demonstrate innovative approaches to building soil fertility for sustainable market farming, with focus on compost, vermicompost, compost tea, the soil food web, microbial innoculants, biochar as well as the center’s cover crops, green manures and organic system. The featured speaker will be Steve Diver of Agri-Horticultural Consulting in Austin, Texas. Diver has worked as an OSU Extension Horticulturist/Agriculture Agent (Muskogee and McIntosh counties), and as an agriculture specialist with ATTRA.  He has 30 years of experience working in organic and sustainable agriculture.

Registration costs $35 per person and includes lunch.

Participants are advised to wear shoes appropriate for walking in potentially muddy fields.
