THE WORKSHOP IS FULL! If you would like to be put on a list of people who will be notified (via email) of future hoophouse workshops, please contact the Kerr Center.

This workshop has been one of the Kerr Center's most popular events for the past few years.  In the workshop, participants get hands-on experience building a low-cost hoop house of the design developed by Tod and Jamie Hanley of Trebuchet Gardens in Norman.

Belcher's Bucket of Berries will host this year's workshop, with Tod Hanley assisting.  Steve Upson of the Noble Foundation in Ardmore will demonstrate construction of a hoop house end wall.

Hoophouses are structures formed by a sheet of clear plastic stretched over a row of metal hoop ribs, used to protect crops from cold weather and extend the growing season.

While the workshop is free, space is limited, and registration is required by September 7 to reserve a place.

To register, contact Lena Moore at the Kerr Center by email or phone (918.647.9123).

Held rain or shine. Bring a lawn chair, and wear shoes suitable for walking in fields.
