The Kerr Center is a working ranch and farm, as well as an educational center. Our emphasis is on sustainable methods of meat and vegetable production and natural resource management.

Livestock projects include Angus/Gelbvieh and heritage-breed Pineywoods cattle, emphasizing sustainable grass-based production. In our certified organic plots we are focused on organic soil building and conducting trials of heirloom (open-pollinated) vegetable varieties. Riparian area management and agroforestry are just two of the conservation projects on the ranch.

Check out “What’s Happening at Kerr Center” to learn about seasonal activities, and our calendar of events to learn about workshops and other events at the center. Please visit our program pages (top bar) for more in-depth information.
