Aquaponics is a system that links aquaculture with hydroponic vegetable, flower, and/or herb production. This publication provides an introduction to aquaponics with brief profiles of working units around the country.

National Agricultural Law Center Reading Room: Aquaculture
As a result of growth in U.S. aquaculture, the National Agricultural Law Center assembled and posted an Aquaculture Reading Room. An overview article on the subject is included in the reading room, along with a listing of and links to major statutes and regulations that currently affect the industry.

Pond-raised Prawns (packet)
This packet contains information on raising freshwater shrimp (prawns) in the earth ponds common on Oklahoma farms and ranches. The handouts and informational resources contained in the packet were used at Jeremy Eaton's September 2009 field day. Eaton received a 2007 Oklahoma Producer Grant to demonstrate the feasibility of raising shrimp in farm ponds as an additional income source for Oklahoma farmers.

agents and other agricultural educators also will find this guide a
valuable source of information.
